In the second quarter of 2022, the top communication apps on Android in Ghana showed varied download and active user trends. Here's a look at how they performed.

WhatsApp Messenger experienced significant fluctuations in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 365K in the first week of May and tapering off to around 54K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, ranging from about 4.2M to 4.4M throughout the quarter.

WhatsApp Business saw a peak in downloads at around 205K in early April, with the number slightly decreasing to approximately 115K by the end of June. Weekly active users stayed within the 2M range, showing a slight decline towards the end of the quarter.

Snapchat showed a decrease in downloads, starting at 44K at the end of March and fluctuating to about 42K by the end of June. However, active users saw a steady rise, reaching about 1.8M by the end of the quarter. Revenue also varied, peaking at $9 in mid-April.

Telegram downloads peaked at around 46K in late April and decreased to about 28K by the end of June. Active users remained steady, hovering around 1.7M throughout the quarter. Revenue for Telegram saw a small increase, reaching $15 in the final week of June.
